Violin, Saxophone & Clarinet
Rose, Teacher: Violin / Viola
Rose is an active performer and teacher throughout New England. Rose is in her second season with Portland Symphony in Maine and also plays with the Cape Cod Symphony. Rose is an avid chamber musician, and was the violist of the Cervantes Quartet, with whom she was broadcast on the WILL fm Second Sunday concert series in Champaign, Illinois.
Rose is a dedicated teacher, and in addition to private students, she was a teaching assistant for Mai Motobuchi in the New England Conservatory Preparatory School for two years. She was also the teaching assistant for Masumi Rostad at the University of Illinois, for both private studio and chamber music courses. Rose has been an orchestra sectional coach at the University of Illinois, and for the Youth Symphony at the NEC preparatory school.
Rose holds a BM from the University of Illinois in viola performance, and a MM and a GD in viola performance from the New England Conservatory. Her primary teachers have been Carol Rodland, Masumi Rostad and Rudolf Haken.

Josh, Teacher: Sax and Clarinet
Josh, as an alumnus of Berklee School of Music with a scolarship for outstanding performance, majored in music therapy and professional music. He specializes in Tenor Saxophone and also teaches Baritone Sax and Clarinet. Josh has taught both privately and at Artisan Music Schools and Boston College High School. Josh has also used his talents to implement music technique for use in therapy at major hospitals, daycares and nursing homes.
Josh is currently a member of Hellcat/Epitaph Recording Artists’ Westbound Train. Westbound Train has received several honors at the Boston Music Awards. Josh is also a member of The Void Union, Eight Deep and has toured extensively in his career with members of “The Specials”, “The Mighty Mighty Bosstones“, “Reel Big Fish“, “The English Beat“, “Karl Denson“, “Deep Banana Blackout“, “John Brown’s Body”, “Streetlight Manifesto”, “RX Bandits”, “Catch 22“, “Big D and the Kids Table”, “The Toasters”, “Mustard Plug”, “The Slackers”, “Spiritual Rez” and many others.
His focal genres include Jazz, Funk/Soul, Reggae, and Ska.
Darren, Teacher: Sax
Darren’s studies include Performance Ensembles, Latin, Jazz, Blues, Classical, Bebop, Rock and Pop at Northern Essex Community College as well as many years of private music instruction from Charlie Banacos Music.
Darren is fluent and very knowledgeable in 60’s, 70’s and 80’s Fusion, Classical, as well as Jazz veins. He has performed with local, well-known rock band, Fortune, the GB Bands: “Overdrive” and “Funk Bucket” , and has been a frequent guest with accomplished Jazz performer, Mark Lucus.
Students benefit greatly from Darren’s excellent trained ear, his well-rounded teaching techniques, and attention to detail.
